My plan was to cut my own cores. Due to the less then ideal value of the Canadian dollar and the cost to ship to Canada from Texas I didn’t want to spend that much money. I did buy a block of foam from ACS and by the time I paid the shipping charges It was $250 for enough foam to just do the canard. That was disappointing. I was lurking on Ebay and found a fellow Canadian that was selling a complete set of cores with the straight trailing edge on the wing. He was selling them for an awesome deal. The cores were never even taken out of the boxes. The cores are from www.eurekacnc.com So needless to say I am ecstatic and am now ahead of where I thought I would be on the build.
I pulled out the canard cores to have a look at them. I am very impressed with the quality of the cut.
I compared one of the pieces to the template that I had cut on the router and it is bang on. From what I have seen so far, I highly recommend using Eureka cores.
