Control bearings

While I was waiting for my canard to cure I took some time to do a little dream flying 🙂

I also machined some bearing housings for the controls.

I used a circlip as a keeper on the bearing. Otherwise it is another setup on the cnc to machine from the backside and it didn’t seem worth it for only two parts.

Here is the bearing ready to be installed on the hydraulic press.

A slight squeeze to set the bearing.

And presto its in.

So, if you don’t want to use the phenolic on your control system and are going to use bearings the ladies at www.cozygirrrl.com can hook you up. These do take a bit of time to make and would have been worth the money to buy. I just enjoy the journey 🙂
